A cozy teddy bear with a heartfelt card embodies the mission of the Every Child's Dream Foundation, providing comfort and gratitude to those we serve.

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tasha-Nicole Terani.

We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Tasha-Nicole, thanks for joining us today. Do you manage your own social media?

I do manage my own social media accounts. Over the years I have had a few assistants and interns get involved. At the end of the day I’ve learned that no one will be able to dedicate the same time, passion and energy into your business the way you do. If you are a true entrepreneur you have to be willing to go it alone. Especially in the beginning!

Social media operates in real time and the energy and the vibe changes quickly!I find the quickest way to stay on the pulse of socials is to do it myself. It’s just faster! And social media is extremely fast. I’ve learned to find ways to enjoy it and I always offer something inspiring each day.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

Tasha-Nicole Terani is a 9 time World Record Holder in Soccer Ball Control. Current world record holder for fastest soccer meg in the world. She is the creator of the world renowned TNT Soccer Training System for kids, coaches and teams. Tasha-Nicole is the Founder of the Every Child’s Dream Foundation 501c3 for orphaned and abandoned babies and children. She also plays an important role with the United Nations as a Special Envoy for Peace through soccer. Tasha-Nicole will be releasing her first childrens book this year,

A Tree for Me. The book is about the journey we all take in this life to be unconditionally loved. What we learn along the way is that the love and acceptance we seek from the outside world must first be found and nurtured from within.

My name is Tasha-Nicole and I am a former model turned humanitarian. When I was 26 I read a book that completely changed my mindset about who I am and what I have to offer. This book essentially changed the trajectory of my life. The book is called Good to Great. It asks the question, “Are you doing what you think you can do better than anyone else in the world? Are you doing what you love to do? If you can figure out a way to combine those two elements you will be happy and successful in life.” At the time, I was modeling in New York. Within a matter of minutes after reading this line I had my answer. I knew the answers to those questions. No one had ever asked me that before and I had never heard it put so simply. The answer was no, I am not doing what I believe I can do better than anyone else in the world. And no, I do not love modeling. In fact, I could barely stand it.

Then it came to me, the one thing I truly believed I could become the best in the world at is Soccer. Soccer was the saving grace of my childhood and was one of the most special and sacred things in my childhood. It made me happy and helped me to shine. It was the place where I felt unstoppable. The place where I knew I belonged was on the soccer field. The scent in the air early on Saturday mornings. The colors on the blades of the beautiful green grass! So at age 26, I made the decision to leave the modeling business behind and start playing soccer again.

I just knew I belonged there and that would be the place where I would help others build their confidence and be strong in their lives. Within 3 months of leaving the modeling business I broke several Men’s World Records in Soccer Ball Control. Currently I have nine World Records in Soccer Ball Control.

Soon after, I created the TNT Soccer Training System for Kids, Coaches and Teams. A soccer training system that takes basic drills, adds angles, measurements and boundaries to speed up the learning process for each skill. Something that may have taken a kid years to learn can now be learned in a matter of weeks with my renowned soccer system. A touch by touch learning system that teaches the 6 most important touches in soccer. The TNT Soccer System has been selling worldwide since 2012.

My other passions are my nonprofit 501c3 the Every Child’s Dream Foundation for orphaned and abandoned babies and children and my new childrens book, A Tree for Me. A Tree for Me is my first childrens book and it will be available later this year! A Tree for Me is about the journey we all take in search of unconditional love. What we discover along the way is that the love and acceptance we seek from the outside world must first be found and nurtured from within.

How did you build your audience on social media?

I started my first Instagram account only four years ago. The goal was mainly to represent my soccer company and on the side keep people updated on my nonprofit work. It went really well when I first started! I gained followers quickly and I was actively working the account with several interns which I recruited from the local college career center. We were killing it! I was getting 50-100 new followers a day for two years straight.

We had a strategy and it was working. About 2 years into it, on a beautiful Christmas morning, I woke up and the account was gone. Vanished completely into cyberspace. I was in complete shock to say the least. Two years of complete dedication 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To wake up and see that every photo and ever video was gone. All that content! Content that took years to create just disappeared.

My first thought was to fight to get it back. I felt robbed and cheated to my core. I began the process of trying to recover the account and essentially got nowhere.

Total devastation. Over the next few weeks I had an intense battle internally. Do I start over? What if I start over and build it all up and it happens again? Do I just let go and forget social media as a potential for my businesses? In the end, I surprised myself by starting all over! I spent exactly two years on the new page, building and reconnecting and creating new content.

Now I have three times the following and I do contribute much of my soccer product sales to this social media account. The lesson for me was to never give in and never give up. You can always start fresh even when you feel you are at your lowest.

All I did was use the incredible amount of fear and anxiety I was experiencing to work in my favor. Channeling the loss, frustration and fear into new goals. I forced myself to look ahead and to use the experience and knowledge gained to build it even better than before. Within a few weeks I forgot what I was so afraid of, It didn’t matter anymore.
